The triple point water bottle is a fixed temperature point defined both by the thermodynamic scale and the International Temperature Scale. The unit of thermodynamic temperature, Kelvin, is defined as 1/273.16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water. It is also a defining fixed point of the International Temperature Scale (ITS-90) from 1990. Thus, the triple point water temperature is an important, precise, and easy-to-use temperature standard. The triple point water is replicated using a triple point water bottle, which contains high-purity water with isotopic composition similar to seawater. If you own a standard platinum resistance thermometer, you must have a high-quality triple point water bottle. Our triple point water bottles have an extremely high purity and very low uncertainty, achieving a temperature of 0.01°C with an expanded uncertainty of less than 0.0001°C.
The water triple point bottle must be frozen using dry ice or liquid nitrogen to reach the triple point, then stored in an ice槽 composed of crushed ice and water. Alternatively, use our company's NM-03 water triple point bottle automatic freezing and storage unit to automatically freeze and store the water triple point bottle.
