Electric forklift brake failure is not a common occurrence, but when it happens, it can easily cause harm to personnel. Therefore, we must still take it seriously. What are the possible causes of electric forklift brake failure?
Firstly, replace the hydraulic fluid in the electric forklift's braking cylinder and bleed the air before adjusting the local braking.
Due to improper operation, mechanical failure has occurred or attempts have been made to adjust the distance between the driving wheel brake pads.
The third issue is the lack of regular maintenance for the electric forklift braking system. The main braking cylinder is contaminated with excessive debris, has poor seals, and the vacuum assist pump is faulty. The brake fluid is contaminated, or a mixture of different brake fluids is used, which causes airlock upon heating. There are oil leaks from the main braking cylinder or individual cylinders, leaks in the air tank or pipe joints, and the oil lines are not blocked.
