6082 aluminum tube is a heat-treatable alloy with excellent formability, weldability, machinability, and corrosion resistance, featuring moderate strength. After annealing, it maintains good operability, primarily used in mechanical structures such as bars, sheets, tubes, and profiles. This alloy has similar but not identical mechanical properties to 6061, with the -T6 condition offering high mechanical characteristics. 6082 aluminum tube is widely used in Europe and highly applicable in the U.S., suitable for processing materials, seamless aluminum tubes, structural profiles, and custom profiles. The 6082 alloy typically exhibits excellent processing characteristics and good anodic reaction properties. Common anodic reaction methods include removing impurities and dyeing, as well as coating.
6082 aluminum tubes combine excellent weldability, brazability, corrosion resistance, formability, and machinability. The -0 and T4 tempers of alloy 6082 are suitable for bending and forming applications, while the -T5 and -T6 tempers are ideal for good machinability requirements.
