Endless sawEndless torment
Biting the bullet, holding in the effort, we finally made it to lunchtime. After a meal and a brief rest, the afternoon was greeted with an extremely challenging team-building activity that tested our patience and willpower.Haul the saw, chop the big tree.
The tree symbolizes an obstacle in the path to success, and what we need to do is work together to chop it down. Of course, there's a condition: once started, we cannot stop, and everyone needs to be involved.
The tree isn't a real one, nor do I have a large saw in hand, but the thought of the tree can be imagined in the mind. However, the action of pulling the saw must be done sincerely and vividly.
Step forward with your left foot into a "work" stance, left hand clenched with the thumb extended, right hand gripping the left thumb. Assume the posture, keep your feet stationary, and move your hands in a sawing motion from front to back.
One pull is an easy move, but repeating the same action for nearly three hours is anything but comfortable. It can be said that it's quite torturous.
It's a nightmare, to keep doing the pull-up motion is one thing, but the instructor even came up with three positions: standing, kneeling, and sitting.
Standing for too long leads to numb legs; sitting for too long causes lower back and buttock pain; kneeling for extended periods first causes numbness, then pain, and eventually stiffness, making movement impossible.
A room, lights off, curtains drawn tight, eye mask on, and nothing is visible before your eyes. It is precisely because of this that all attention is focused on the numb, painful, and stiff spots on your body. The limbs keep repeating the movements, and the nerves are constantly shouting.——Sore throat, shoulder pain, lower back pain, back pain, leg pain, everywhere hurts!
Performing the same action for nearly three hours is not only a test of endurance but also a torment to one's willpower.
In the past three hours, repeatedly performing the same action, the staff at Muli Muwai did not chop down the tree in their imagination; instead, they removed the obstacle that appeared in the face of success.
