How to Address the Decreasing Penetration of Filter Fabric in Plate and Frame Press Filters
For staff frequently operating filter presses, encountering unexpected situations is not uncommon. If these issues are not addressed promptly, they can significantly impact the normal operation of the filter press. A common phenomenon is that after about four months of filtration time, the permeability of the filter cloth in the filter press tends to decline明显.
The following three points can resolve the penetration issue:
One, Cleaning: The filter cloth should be cleaned regularly to ensure the normal operating efficiency of the pressure filter. Although some pressure filters are equipped with automatic filter cloth cleaning functions, due to the prolonged contact with the filtrate and the high-pressure working environment, it is inevitable that solids may adhere to the filter cloth.
Two: Processing Method. The filter cloth is woven using a tight processing technique, which provides it with a certain structure. This makes it difficult for the filter cloth to be removed once it is deep within solid particles. As the particles accumulate, the filter cloth's pore size may become blocked. Three: Understanding Properties. When cleaning, it's also important to know the properties of the filtrate. If the filtrate is alkaline, opt for a weakly alkaline water to soak it for about a day, gently rub it a few times, and then let it dry.
