1. Start the motor, once the vacuum pump is operating normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump. Wait for the gauge to display the appropriate pressure, then gradually open the throttle valve while checking the motor's load condition.
2. Test the motor's rotation direction.
Regularly check the oil level; adjust as necessary to meet specifications.
During the operation of the vacuum pump, the oil level should reach the center of the oil mark. Regularly inspect the oil quality and replace it with new oil promptly if it becomes deteriorated to ensure the scraper vacuum drier's vacuum pump operates normally. Add bearing lubricating oil into the bearing housing, and observe that the oil level should be at the center line of the oil mark. The lubricating oil should be replaced or supplemented as needed.
Ensure the gate valves on the outlet piping, the outlet pressure gauge, and the inlet vacuum are securely closed.
5. Inspect the vacuum pump pipeline and joints for any signs of loosening. Manually rotate the vacuum pump to test its flexibility. Generally, the vacuum pump should be serviced after 2,000 operating hours, checking the aging of the rubber seals, inspecting for cracks in the exhaust valve blades, and cleaning any debris accumulated on the valve blades and exhaust valve seats. Clean all components within the vacuum pump chamber, such as rotors, vanes, and springs. Typically, gasoline is used for cleaning, followed by drying. For rubber parts, simply dry them with a cloth after cleaning. Handle the assembly with care to avoid any damage. If possible, clean the pipes as well to ensure the pipeline is clear.
6. The oil change interval should be determined based on actual usage conditions and the ability to meet performance requirements, at the discretion of the user. Generally, for new vacuum pumps, it is recommended to change the oil after about 100 hours of operation when removing clean, dry gases. After the oil no longer shows black metal particles, the oil change interval can be appropriately extended.
7. The water inlet plug of the auger vacuum dryer should be filled with water (or slurry). After reassembly, a trial run is required, typically running empty for 2 hours and changing the oil twice. This is due to the presence of a certain amount of volatile substances left in the vacuum pump during cleaning. Once the operation is normal, the dryer can then be put into normal work.
