Details Introduction
Nylon slides feature high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and self-lubrication, making them suitable for manufacturing hoppers, silos, and slide chutes for materials like coal, cement, lime, mineral powder, salt, and grain powders. Their excellent wear resistance, self-lubricating properties, and non-stick characteristics ensure that these powdered materials do not adhere to storage and transport equipment, guaranteeing safe and stable transportation.
Oiled nylon sliders are an improved version of standard nylon, derived from its base. Due to their rapid curing and high crystallinity at lower temperatures, they offer over 3-5 times the crystallinity of regular nylon, with mechanical properties triple that of standard nylon. They have excellent dimensional stability, low water absorption, high mechanical strength and hardness, and can withstand temperatures up to 150℃-190℃. They also exhibit fatigue resistance, electrical insulation properties similar to corresponding nylon products, and can be enhanced according to customer requirements. They are resistant to corrosion from alkalis, alcohols, acids, ketones, hydrocarbons, detergents, and water.
Performance characteristics of oil-filled nylon sliders:
(1) Outstanding Abrasion Resistance: Its coefficient of friction is typically 0.1-0.3, about 1/4th of phenolic plastic and 1/3rd of Babbit alloy, making it an auto-lubricating material.
(2) Excellent Mechanical Properties: It boasts high surface hardness, tensile strength, bending strength, impact strength, and ductility. Its compressive strength is comparable to metals, and its fatigue strength is on par with cast iron and aluminum alloys.
(3) Excellent Chemical Stability: It remains unaffected by chemicals, including weak alkalis, alcohols, esters, copper, and hydrocarbons.
(4) Wide Range of Cold and Heat Resistance: It maintains a certain level of mechanical strength at -60°C and has heat resistance up to 80-100°C.
(5) Low density: Its density is between 1.05-1.15.
Nylon sliders are widely used in chemical machinery, for the manufacturing of gears and parts in anti-corrosion equipment. They are suitable for wear-resistant parts, transmission structural components, household appliance parts, automotive manufacturing parts, screw thread anti-mechanical parts, chemical machinery parts, and chemical equipment, etc.
Also known as strips and friction strips, they significantly reduce the hard friction between the conveyor belt and the machine frame, effectively extending the service life of the conveyor belt. There is a wide variety of strips available, including both directly embedded types and many flat types with varying widths and thicknesses.
High molecular weight polyethylene, due to its extremely high melt viscosity, remains solid even when heated to its crystalline melting point, and this non-flow property is attributed to the high aspect ratio entanglement of its longer monomer chain structure. In layman's terms, it's like a pile of fine hemp ropes; low molecular weight polyethylene, such as paraffin wax, is like a tangled pile of ten thousand 1-meter-long hemp ropes, which is very easy to separate.
Features of nylon sliders include:
Good strength, rigidity, toughness, wear resistance, and good chemical stability.
2. Lower water absorbency, with better dimensional stability and mechanical strength than nylon 6.
3. Self-extinguishing with continuous heat resistance up to 100℃
4. Nylon's fatigue resistance. It has electrical insulation properties equivalent to those of corresponding nylon products and can withstand alkalis, alcohols, and ether compounds.
5. Nylon offers excellent impact toughness and low-temperature resistance (can withstand temperatures down to -40℃), with the highest notched impact strength in the nylon series. It also boasts good wear resistance, self-lubrication, and chemical resistance. Nylon products are much cheaper than steel, weighing 80% less, and can be cast into various sizes and models, such as round bars, thick and thin sheets, and solid blocks.
Caution for oil-filled nylon slider processing and use:
Due to the product being thermoplastic material, users should strictly pay attention to the following matters during processing and use:
Turning: Spindle speed below 600 r/min, feed rate less than 0.6 mm/r, and cooled with water or saponified oil simultaneously.
Drilling: Use drill bits with an outer diameter less than or equal to 1/3 of the bar diameter (but not exceeding 30mm), with a drill angle of 90-110 degrees, and a speed below 400r/min. Be sure to withdraw the drill bit promptly, cool with water or saponified oil, and then continue drilling following the above procedures.
Nylon products feature high hardness, excellent tensile, bending, and impact strength, along with good elongation. Their compressive strength is comparable to metals, and their fatigue strength is on par with cast iron and aluminum alloys. They are lightweight, with good toughness, strong wear resistance, oil resistance, and vibration resistance. Suitable for manufacturing wear-resistant parts, transmission components, household appliance parts, automotive components, protective mechanical parts, hardware equipment, and electrical insulation components.
MC nylon has a molecular weight of up to 35,000-70,000, the wear-resistant nylon slider is about twice as high as regular nylon, hence it boasts superior physical and mechanical properties compared to regular nylon 6.

High mechanical strength, excellent toughness, good wear resistance, high melting point, resistant to mud and oil, and both corrosion and water-resistant.
(2) Excellent dimensional stability with self-lubricating properties; size is not restricted.
