Product Introduction

R5478N101CD-TR-FF is a single-cell lithium battery protection chip released by Ricoh. It features overcharge detection at 4.25V, over-discharge voltage at 4.05V, over-discharge detection voltage at 2.5V, over-discharge release voltage at 3.0V, and overcurrent detection voltage at 0.2V. If an 8205 MOSFET with a 25mΩ resistance is used, the overcurrent detection would be 0.2/0.025*2=4A. Therefore, to increase the overcurrent capacity, a MOSFET with a lower resistance, such as the 8810, can be used, which has a resistance of only 12.5Ω, allowing for an overcurrent of up to 8A. Some MOSFETs have a resistance as low as 6mΩ, and when two are combined, they offer a total of 12mΩ, enabling an overcurrent of more than 16A. Using four MOSFETs theoretically allows for a current of up to 32A.
