Introduction

The spray dryer is a type of continuous atmospheric pressure dryer. It uses special equipment to atomize liquid material into a mist, which then contacts hot air for drying. It is suitable for drying heat-sensitive liquids, suspensions, and viscous liquids, such as milk, eggs, tannins, and pharmaceuticals, among others. It is also used for drying fuels, intermediates, soap powder, and inorganic salts.

Operating Principle

       Air is filtered and heated, then enters the top air distributor of the drier, where it spirals in evenly into the drying chamber. The liquid material is processed by a high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower, rotating to form fine mist droplets, which are dried into finished products by concurrent contact with the hot air in a very short time. The finished products are continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, while the exhaust gas is exhausted by the induced draft fan.

Product Features

       Fast drying speed; after atomization, the liquid's surface area increases significantly, allowing for the evaporation of 95%-98% moisture in the hot air stream instantly, with the drying process taking only a few seconds, especially suitable for heat-sensitive materials.

       The product exhibits excellent uniformity, fluidity, and solubility with high purity and good quality. The production process is simplified with easy operation and control. Liquids with moisture content of 40-60% (special materials up to 90%) can be dried into powder particles in one step, eliminating the need for crushing and screening, thereby reducing production steps and enhancing product purity. The particle size and loose density, as well as moisture content, can be adjusted within a certain range by modifying operational conditions, making control and management convenient.

Application Scope:

       1. Chemical Industry: battery raw materials, alkaline dyes and pigments, dye intermediates, compound fertilizers, formaldehyde silicate, catalysts, sulfuric acid agents, amino acids, fumed silica, etc.

       2. Plastic Resins: AB, ABS Emulsion, Urea-Formaldehyde Resin, Phenolic Resin, Melamine (Urea) Formaldehyde Resin, Polyethylene, Polyvinyl Chloride, etc.

       3. Food Industry: High-fat milk powder, gelatin, cocoa milk powder, infant formula, blood meal, egg white (yolk) powder, etc.

       4. Foods and Plants: Oats, chicken broth, coffee, instant tea, flavored meat spices, protein, soybeans, peanut protein, hydrolysates, etc.

       5. Sugars: Corn syrup, cornstarch, pectin, maltose, potassium sorbate, etc.

       6. Ceramics: Aluminum Oxide, tile materials, Magnesium Oxide, Talcum Powder, etc.
