Introduction

The SSFT type overhead fire hydrant is a reliable fire-fighting equipment with simple operation and easy, quick opening and closing. It features automatic draining of excess water inside the hydrant, frost prevention (as per customer requirements), and lightweight and quick opening and closing. It can be installed on urban water supply networks and serves as the main water supply facility for fire departments. Suitable for towns, streets, factories, warehouses, government agencies, schools, and key fire prevention areas such as petrochemical, oil field wharfs, ports, oil tanks, pipelines, and other critical locations. It is also applicable to municipal and environmental protection fire-specific pipelines. Easy to use, quick, and highly efficient.

The SSFT Type Ground Fire Hydrant is primarily composed of the main body, valve body, automatic drain device, guide rod, valve disc, and interface, featuring a compact structure and an aesthetically pleasing design. The exposed ground portion is coated with red alkyd magnetic paint, while the buried underground part is coated with black asphalt paint. It is suitable for regions with varying climatic conditions.

Part Two: Main Component Performance

1. The self-relief valve: It can achieve automatic sealing and draining of water based on the water pressure within the valve body. When the fire hydrant is in normal use (fully open) status and the water pressure is not less than 0.1 MPa, the device automatically seals. After the fire hydrant is closed, the self-relief valve will open and discharge the remaining water within the body.

2. Dual Valve Adjustment: Utilizing both large and small regulating valves, during the initial adjustment, the small regulating valve is manipulated for a short stroke and low pressure to first fill or partially fill the fire hydrant cavity. This facilitates the easy opening and adjustment of the fire hydrant when adjusting the large regulating valve, as it is already under nearly equal water pressure conditions. This achieves an easy and quick opening and adjustment of the fire hydrant.
