Product Introduction

The Disc Continuous Dryer is an efficient heat-conduction continuous drying equipment. Its unique structure and working principle ensure high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, small land occupation, simple configuration, convenient operation and control, and a good operating environment. It is widely used in drying operations in industries such as chemicals, pesticides, food, feed, and agricultural and sideline products processing. It has received high praise in practical applications across various industries. Currently, we produce three types of dryers—atmospheric, closed, and vacuum—available in four specifications: 1200, 1500, 2200, and 3000. These come in three materials: A (carbon steel), B (stainless steel uniformly distributed in the contact material area), and C (in addition to B, the steam pipeline, main shaft, and bracket are made of stainless steel, with the cylinder and cover top lined with stainless steel). We offer a series of products with hundreds of models in these materials, and can provide the necessary auxiliary equipment to meet the drying needs of various materials.


Operating Principle

Wet material is continuously added to the upper layer of the dryer's drying tray from a feed hopper. A scraper arm with rake blades rotates to continuously turn over the material. The material flows over the surface of the drying tray along an exponential spiral line, where it is moved from the inner edge of a small drying tray to the outer edge, falling into the outer edge of a larger drying tray below. The material then moves inward on the larger tray and falls through the middle discharge opening into the next layer of smaller trays. The trays, both large and small, are alternately stacked vertically, allowing the material to continuously pass through the entire dryer. A heating medium, such as saturated steam, hot water, or thermal oil, is introduced into the hollow drying trays, entering at one end and exiting at the other. Once dried, the material falls to the bottom of the shell and is then conveyed by the rake blades to the discharge point. Moisture is released from the material and expelled through a moisture exhaust port located on the top cover. In a vacuum-type disk dryer, the moisture is expelled through a vacuum pump port on the top cover. The dried material discharged from the bottom can be directly packaged. By adding auxiliary equipment such as finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, dry material blending mechanisms, induced draft fans, etc., the drying capacity can be increased, making it easy to recover solvents and perform pyrolysis and reaction operations.



Performance Features

(1) Easy to regulate and highly versatile

Adjust the thickness of the material layer, spindle speed, number of rakes, and shape and size of the rake blades to optimize the drying process.

Each drying tray can be individually heated or cooled using hot or cold medium, allowing for precise and easy temperature control of the material.

Material dwell time is adjustable.

The material flows in a single direction without any mixing back, ensuring even drying, stable quality, and no need for further blending.

(2) Easy to operate, user-friendly

The operation of starting and stopping the desiccant is extremely simple.

After stopping the material supply, the conveying material scraper blades can quickly empty the material from the dryer.

Through the viewports of the special oversized inspection doors, the interior of the equipment can be thoroughly cleaned and observed with great precision.

(3) Low energy consumption

The material layer is thin, the main shaft speed is low, and the power required for the material conveying system is small, resulting in low energy consumption.

Drying through heat conduction, with high thermal efficiency and low energy consumption.

(4) Favorable operating environment, recyclable solvents, and dust emissions meet requirements.

◎ Atmospheric Pressure Type: Due to low air flow velocity inside the equipment and a moisture distribution pattern that is higher at the top and lower at the bottom, dust is difficult to rise to the top of the equipment. Therefore, the exhaust gas emitted from the moisture exhaust outlet at the top contains almost no dust.

◎Sealed Type: Equipped with a solvent recovery unit, it allows for convenient recovery of organic solvents from wet gases. The solvent recovery unit is simple, with high recovery rates. For materials that are flammable, explosive, toxic, and prone to oxidation, nitrogen can be used as the wetting gas for closed-loop circulation, ensuring safe operation. Particularly suitable for drying flammable, explosive, and toxic materials.

Vacuum Type: A disk dryer operated under vacuum, especially suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials.

(5) Easy installation, small land area required

The desiccant is supplied fully assembled and ready for transport. It simply requires hoisting into place, making installation and alignment extremely easy.

Due to the dry disk layer arrangement and vertical installation, even with a large drying area, the occupied space remains minimal.


Technical Specifications

(1) Dry plate

Design Pressure: Generally 0.4MPa, up to a maximum of 1.6MPa.

High pressure usage: Generally ≤0.4 MPa, up to 1.6 MPa.

Heating Medium: Steam, Hot Water, Thermal Oil

Material Handling System

Spindle Speed: 1-10 RPM, electromagnetic or variable-frequency stepless speed control.

Rake arms: Each layer of the drying tray is equipped with 2 to 8 rake arms fixed to the main shaft.

Rake Blade: Joints on the rake arm, capable of floating up and down with the disk surface to maintain contact, available in various forms.

◎Rolling: For materials prone to caking and requiring crushing, adding rolling at appropriate locations can enhance heat transfer and drying processes.

(3) The housing is available in three types: atmospheric pressure, sealed, and vacuum.

◎ Atmospheric Type: Available in cylindrical or octagonal prism shapes, with either a whole or split structure. The main inlet and outlet pipes for the heating medium can be located inside or outside the shell.

◎ Sealed Type: Cylindrical shell capable of withstanding an internal pressure of 5Kpa. The main pipeline for the heating medium can be located either inside or outside the shell.

Vaccum Type: Cylinder-shaped shell, designed pressure of 0.1 Mpa, main inlet and outlet pipes for heating medium are inside the shell.

(A) Air Heater

Generally used in situations with high evaporation rates to enhance drying efficiency.
