Horticultural perlite is a white granular material with a honeycomb-like internal structure, made from expanded perlite ore sand after preheating and instantaneous high-temperature roasting. The principle is as follows: the perlite ore is crushed to form sand of a certain particle size, preheated and roasted, then rapidly heated to over 1000°C. The moisture in the sand vaporizes, causing the softened glassy sand to expand, forming a porous structure with a volume expansion of 10-30 times, resulting in a non-metallic ore product.
