Soil基质 is a crucial factor for successful spray seeding. Sphagnum peat is an excellent material for spray seeding, which can be mixed with wood fiber (or pulp) in a certain proportion for use. It offers superior adhesion and water retention properties compared to using pure wood fiber alone. It can be used for spray seeding on slopes with thin soil layers and extreme barrenness, even on weathered rock surfaces. The typical spray seeding thickness is usually between 10 to 20 cm.
What are the construction methods and technological solutions for slope greening with soil spraying?
Slope Construction Techniques Requirements
1. Manage slope drainage. Treat slope runoff and effluent, and channel excess water to the base of the slope using drain pipes. Set up slope platform drainage facilities to allow water from both ends of the platform to drain down to the base.
1. Surface grading: Clean debris and loose rocks from the slope to maintain its flatness. For shallow, unstable slopes, ensure stability and then apply spot-point shotcrete for stabilization.
For excessively smooth slopes, it is advisable to construct a certain degree of undulating and rough surface to create living space for plants and prevent the loss of base materials.
4. Existing vegetation on the slopes should be preserved as much as possible without hindering construction.
Base material jetted vegetation slope anchor bolt construction
Diamond mesh and laying should maintain a minimum coverage of 1m at the slope top and both sides of the slope body; where less than 1m, more anchor pins should be used for fixation. Increase the density of anchor rods in locally uneven areas.
Two layers of wire mesh should overlap by no less than 10 cm.
Drilling is strictly arranged according to the designed spacing.
4. Master and secondary anchors: Determine the diameter, anchor length, and the number of anchors per square meter based on the rock face strength and slope ratio.
The diamond mesh should be laid as closely as possible against the slope surface. The diamond galvanized low-carbon steel wire mesh should be applied to the surface of rock slopes, with wire diameters not less than 2mm and hole sizes not exceeding 50mm. The mesh should be secured with primary and secondary anchor bolts. The anchor bolts should bend at a 90° angle to the galvanized mesh, with a bend length of not less than 5cm.
