RTO Catalytic Combustion Equipment Maintenance and Precautions

Power supply is abnormal

Check with the power supply department if the RTO system has been supplied with electricity; inspect the relevant power switches and lines; note if the fuses have blown.

2. VFD Failure

Check the communication between the PLC and the variable-frequency drive, as well as between the variable-frequency drive and the display screen, ensuring that the communication lines are not loose or disconnected.

Following a power outage, the inverter may display a fault indication due to the motor overvoltage protection of the fan. Simply press the inverter reset button after re-powering and restarting.

If the fan automatically stops, you can turn off the power to the power cabinet and then reconnect it to restart.

After a normal shutdown, restarting the RTO unit may also cause this issue; simply press the inverter reset button.

If the wind turbine motor fails, it may cause the motor to overcurrent and trigger a variable frequency inverter fault alarm.

3. Low Wind Pressure Alarm for Fan

If the inverter is functioning properly, inspect the motor (check if it is running and if there are any unusual noises), bearings, and circuit (ensure the motor is receiving power as normal).

If the variable frequency inverter displays a fault signal and fails to return to normal after resetting, professional technical personnel must inspect and repair it.

Monitor the fan rotation; if no abnormality is observed, replace the differential pressure switch.

4. When the error message "Low Compressed Air Pressure" appears

Confirm if the manual valve on the main compressed air conduit is open.

② Confirm that the gas supply system is functioning properly. If so, check if the pressure switch parameters are correctly set at 4bar or if it is damaged; if not, contact to verify if the air compressor and dryer are operating normally.

Check for any leaks in the compressed air pipeline. If normal, inspect for leaks in the compressed air pipeline.

5. pneumatic valve operates abnormally

(1) If all valves fail to operate, potential root causes may include:

Check if the compressed air pressure is within the normal range of 4 to 6 kgf/cm2, and whether the manual valve on the main compressed air pipeline is open.

② Are there any issues with the PLC cabinet's DC power supply, and have the fuses melted?

(2) Should a single valve exhibit abnormal operation, potential root causes may include:

Check if the manual valve on the corresponding compressed air small pipeline of the valve is open.

Check for any issues with the relay in the PLC cabinet corresponding to the valve.

③ Verify the actuation of the solenoid valve by first checking if the solenoid coil is powered; next, inspect for any debris blocking the valve interior, which is usually resolved by disassembly and cleaning. If there's an issue with the cylinder, a replacement or professional repair by a qualified technician is required. ④ Observe if the magnetic switch at the valve position is in place; if the valve operates correctly but the magnetic switch does not illuminate, adjust the switch's position until it lights up.

Another possibility is that debris such as iron shavings may be adhered to the valve sealing surface, preventing the valve from closing completely. Compressed air will continuously escape from the exhaust port of the two-way four-way valve. Usually, this issue will resolve automatically as the debris falls off. Otherwise, the nearest inspection door should be opened to clear the debris.
