Assembly and Precautions

Due to assembly errors, harmonic drives may experience vibrations and abnormal noises during operation. Please adhere to the following precautions during assembly.

Cautionary Notes for Wave Generators:

Please avoid applying excessive force to the wave generator's bearing during assembly. Insertion can be smoothly executed by rotating the wave generator.

When using a wave generator with a non-Euler coupling structure, please pay special attention to controlling the effects of center offset and misalignment within the recommended values.

Important Considerations for Steel Wheels

Ensure the flatness of the installation surface is good and check for any tilting or歪斜.

2. Confirm if there are any bulges, leftover burrs, or foreign objects inserted into the screw hole.

3. Confirm whether chamfering and contouring processes were implemented on the shell assembly department to avoid interference with the spur wheel.

Upon assembly of the outer shell, confirm whether it can rotate properly and check for any parts that may interfere or bind.

When inserting bolts into the bolt holes for installation, confirm that the bolt hole positions are correct and not causing contact between the bolt and the gear due to misalignment or other machining issues, which makes the bolt turning difficult.

Do not tighten bolts all at once. First, apply a force of about half the specified torque for a temporary tightening, and then tighten to the specified torque. Additionally, usually tighten bolts in diagonal order sequentially.

7. Drilling holes with a circular saw may result in poor rotational accuracy; therefore, please try to avoid it as much as possible.

Cautionary Notes for Flexible Wheels:

Ensure the flatness of the installation surface is good and check for any tilting.

2. Confirm whether there is any bulging at the screw hole, any residual burrs, or any foreign objects engaged.

3. Confirm whether chamfering and avoidance processing were implemented on the shell assembly department to prevent interference with the flexible wheel.

When inserting bolts into the bolt holes for installation, confirm that the position of the bolt holes is correct and that there is no contact between the bolt and the flexible wheel due to reasons such as misalignment of the bolt holes, making the bolt turning heavy.

6. Confirm the presence of extreme unilateral meshing during the initial setup with the new gear set. Unilateral offset may occur due to central misalignment or warping of the two components.

Regarding rust prevention measures:

The composite surface has not been treated for rust prevention. Apply a rust preventive agent to the surface when rust prevention is required.
