1. Steel Grating Introduction

Steel grating is an open steel structure fixed by welding or press locking, composed of bearing flat steel and cross bars at a certain spacing in an orthogonal arrangement; the cross bars are usually made of twisted square steel, but can also be round or flat steel. The materials are carbon steel and stainless steel.

Material Type: G for Carbon Steel

BG for stainless steel

Bar Spacing: 100mm (Center to Center)

50mm (center distance)

Bar Size: Standard 6mm Twisted Square Steel

Small-scale steel grating is made of 5mm twisted square steel.

Common stainless steel thickness: 5mm

Flat Steel Dimensions: Standard sizes range from 20×3mm to 75×6mm and various specifications

Flat Steel Spacing: Series 1 - 30mm (Center to Center)

Series 2 - 40mm (Center Distance)

Series 3 - 60mm (Center Distance)

Flat Steel Type: P for Plain Surface Type (can be abbreviated)

S for enhanced anti-slip tooth pattern

Surface Treatment: G for Hot-Dip Galvanized

U for surface untreated (can be abbreviated)

For example, G253/30/100PG and above specifications use 25×3 standard flat steel strips, with strip spacing of 30mm and crossbar spacing of 100mm, to form hot-dip galvanized steel grating.
