Fire-resistant glass partition walls are classified according to the GB/T12513-2006 "Method for Fire Resistance Test of Glazed Components" into insulated and non-insulated types based on their fire resistance. According to the People's Republic of China Public Security Industry Standard GA97-1995 "General Technical Conditions for Fire-resistant Glass Non-load-bearing Partition Walls," they are further divided into steel frame fire-resistant glass partition walls (referred to as Type G) and wood frame fire-resistant glass walls (referred to as Type M).

Insulating Fireproof Glass Wall: Meets both fire resistance integrity and insulating requirements for a certain period of time (loss of insulating fire resistance is defined as the average temperature rise on the non-fire side exceeding 140 degrees Celsius or the temperature rise reaching 180 degrees Celsius).

Non-insulating fire-resistant glass partition walls: Can meet the requirements for fire resistance integrity for a certain period of time, but cannot meet the requirements for fire resistance and heat insulation. Construction method of fire-resistant glass partition walls: The glass-inlaid components are made of formed steel plates, connected and fixed by welding or special screws, etc., and equipped with fire-resistant glass and fire-resistant expansion strips to ensure that they meet the requirements for fire resistance integrity and heat insulation during the fire. According to GA97-1995 "General Technical Conditions for Non-bearing Fire-resistant Glass Partition Walls," the material standards for the mounting frames and strips of Class G partition walls shall comply with the provisions of GBJ205. After the partition walls are assembled, the frames should be on the same plane, and the gap between the frame and the fire-resistant glass is generally 3-5MM, but the overlapping part of the fire-resistant glass and the strip should not be less than 10MM.
