Its excellent welding resistance makes PA6T particularly suitable for electronic connectors used in surface mount technology (SMT). PA6T maintains a high modulus even at high temperatures, such as a modulus of 55% at 120°C compared to 23°C. This means PA6T retains stable and excellent rigidity across a wide temperature range. PA6T also exhibits excellent chemical resistance. With a low moisture absorption rate, PA6T is one of the lowest moisture-absorbing nylons, only one-fourth to one-third of nylon 66. Consequently, PA6T experiences minimal physical changes due to moisture absorption. PA6T has a relatively stable coefficient of thermal expansion, remaining low even in high-temperature ranges, ensuring good dimensional stability against temperature changes. Additionally, PA6T has minimal warping during the molding process, indicating its excellent dimensional stability.
