Revision history of ISO9001:2015 standard
To keep pace with the times and better lead users in the application of quality management concepts and tools, since the formal birth of ISO 9000 in 1987, the standard has undergone three formal revisions:
The revision took place in 1994. It retained the concept of quality assurance, with the traditional manufacturing imprint still quite evident.
The second revision took place in 2000. It represented a significant change in terms of concept, structure, and essence. The introduction of basic principles such as "customer focus" and "process approach" elevated the standard from quality assurance to quality management from a systematic perspective. It also diminished the original manufacturing characteristics, making it more adaptable.
2008 marked the third revision, resulting in the standard fourth version, which is currently in effect. This revision was categorized as an "editorial change," with no significant alterations.
Comprehensive management system conforming to ISO 45001, operated as an integrated management system under a unified framework through certain methods and approaches.
Integrated management systems are differentiated into narrow and broad categories. Narrowly defined, an integrated management system includes systems such as integrating the aforementioned "two standards" or "three standards"; broadly defined, it encompasses systems like intensive integrated management systems.
An intensive and integrated management system, which is an expansion and enhancement of the integrated management of "multiple standards" such as QHSE (Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, Occupational Health and Safety Management System). The integrated management system formed by the integration of QHSE and other "multiple standards" is a standalone system; however, when viewed from the perspective of the enterprise as a whole and from a systemic and overall objective standpoint, the QHSE management is still operating as a separate system from other numerous specialized management aspects within the enterprise. In the intensive and integrated management system described in this book, quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety management are merely important components of the management system.

These companies adhere to the ISO 20000 IT Service Management System standards and provide standardized services for the software/hardware products they offer. They ensure high-quality services and continuous support throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Internal IT service provider or IT operations support department
Banks, telecommunications, real estate, and other large state-owned enterprises and publicly listed companies. These organizations typically have massive IT systems and a high level of dependence on IT for their operations. As the complexity of their internal IT systems grows exponentially, they urgently need to enhance their IT service management to provide robust support for business stability and growth. They usually achieve this by signing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with business departments to clarify IT service delivery, make services measurable, and ensure sustainable improvement in internal IT services.

All elements of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard, including the control of significant environmental factors within the organization, the extent to which objectives and indicators are achieved.
Environmental Management System audits should ensure objectivity, systematicity, and documentation requirements, and should be conducted according to the audit procedures. The internal audit procedures should specify the following: the scope of the audit, which may include geographical areas, departments, or system elements; the frequency of the audit, which should be determined based on the organization's management status and external agency requirements; the methods of the audit, generally including checking documents and records, observing on-site operations, and conducting interviews with relevant personnel; the requirements and responsibilities of the audit team, such as the capabilities and responsibilities of the audit leader and team members; and the requirements and reporting methods for audit reports and results. An audit plan (scheme) should be developed before each audit, including personnel and time arrangements. The content of the audit should focus on the environmental significance (relevance) of the activities involved and the results of previous audits.

The role of the ISO9001 procedure documents.
Maintain control over quality activities. Specify the activities affecting quality; - Establish methods and criteria for evaluating these activities to keep them in a controlled state.
Define the responsibilities: duties, authorities, and interrelations of personnel involved in quality activities.
As a basis for executing, verifying, and evaluating quality activities. The provisions of the procedures are implemented in actual activities; evidence of implementation should be retained; actual operations are to be reviewed against the requirements based on the procedures.
Purpose of ISO 9001 Certification
Supplier confirms that its quality system complies with the specified quality system requirements. Under contract terms, the supplier must demonstrate to the specific customer that its quality system meets the requirements stipulated in the contract. In the case of third-party certification, the supplier should verify with the certification body that its quality system fulfills the requirements of the applied quality assurance model.
