JGS1 Quartz Plate; Quartz Sheet

ZS-1 (Far-ultraviolet optical quartz glass) corresponds to grade JGS1

It is optically quartz glass melted with high-purity hydrogen peroxide, containing a substantial amount of hydroxyl groups (2000ppm), offering excellent UV transmission properties, especially in the short-wave UV region. Its transmission rate significantly surpasses that of all other glasses, reaching up to 90% at 185μm. Synthetic quartz glass exhibits a strong absorption peak at 2730nm and has a particle-free structure. It is an excellent optical material within the 185-2500μm wavelength range.

ZS-2 (Ultraviolet Optical Quartz Glass) corresponds to grade JGS2

Quartz raw materials and quartz glass produced by hydrogen-oxygen flame contain several tens of ppm of metallic impurities. It has an absorption peak at 2730nm (hydroxyl content of 100-200ppm), with striped and granular structures. It is an excellent material for the 220-2500μm wavelength range.

Quartz sheet characteristics:

Quartz glass sheets are a special industrial technical glass made from silicon dioxide, and they are an excellent basic material. Quartz glass sheets possess a range of superior physical and chemical properties, including: 1. High-temperature resistance. The softening point of quartz glass is approximately 1730°C, allowing for long-term use at 1100°C and short-term use up to 1450°C. 2. Corrosion resistance. Quartz glass hardly reacts with other acidic substances, with its acid resistance being 30 times that of ceramics and 150 times that of stainless steel. Its chemical stability at high temperatures is unmatched by any other engineering material. 3. Good thermal stability. Adapting to a low coefficient of thermal expansion of glass, it can withstand drastic temperature changes; heating quartz glass to around 1100°C and placing it in room-temperature water will not cause it to crack. 4. Excellent light transmission. Quartz glass sheets exhibit good light transmission across the entire spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared, with a visible light transmission rate above 93%, particularly with a transmission rate exceeding 80% in the ultraviolet spectrum. 5. Good electrical insulation properties. The resistivity of quartz glass is equivalent to ten thousand times that of ordinary glass, making it an excellent electrical insulation material with good electrical properties even at room temperature.

JGS3 Quartz Sheets

HS (Infrared Optical Quartz Glass) Equivalent Brand No. JGS3

Quartz glass produced from quartz raw materials and vacuum electric melting contains several tens of ppm of metallic impurities. It features small bubbles, granular structure, and stripes, almost no (OH) content, and exhibits high infrared transmission properties, with a transmission rate exceeding 85%. It is an optical material suitable for application in the spectral range of 260 to 3500μm.
