Static mixers are highly engineered static mixing devices that enable continuous online mixing of fluids within pipelines. They have no moving parts and utilize the energy of the airflow to produce consistent, cost-effective, and reliable mixing. Static mixers are mixing devices without moving parts. Their basic working mechanism involves using fixed mixing units within the pipe to alter the flow state of the fluid, thereby achieving good dispersion and thorough mixing of different fluids.

Applications of Static Mixers:

Static mixers are widely used in numerous industries including plastics, chemicals, mining and metallurgy, food, daily chemicals, cables, oil, papermaking, chemical fibers, biology, and environmental protection. Due to their low energy consumption, minimal investment, effective results, and quick returns, these products bring considerable economic benefits to users.

Wastewater Treatment Applications

During the wastewater treatment process, flocculants are typically added for flocculation and sedimentation treatment. Generally, mechanical stirring is employed. Uneven mixing of flocculants and wastewater during this process can affect the aggregation efficiency. For such mixing processes, the more uniformly the flocculant and wastewater are mixed, the better the wastewater treatment results. To ensure uniform mixing, consider selecting a static mixer with good mixing performance. For the mixing of wastewater and flocculants, the flocculant can be either inorganic or organic polymer. The process requires pre-preparation into a water solution, with significant flow rate differences, sometimes as high as 1:1000. However, after a certain length of static mixing, the flocculant and wastewater can be uniformly mixed.

Petroleum and Chemical Industry:

Static mixers are primarily used in processes such as oil refining, extraction, desulfurization, raw oil desalination, blending, and dewaxing and desalination.

During the production of vacuum residue, catalytic light diesel must be added to meet the requirements of loading, unloading, transportation, and use, in order to reduce viscosity. Refineries use static mixers to blend fuel oil, satisfying the needs for various fuel oils and blending in different proportions of diesel, thereby reducing the addition ratio of diesel. The desulfurization of gasoline is an important process to improve the quality of gasoline.
