Colloid Mill Maintenance Basics
The colloid mill is a high-precision mechanical device with a linear speed of up to 20 m/s, and it features a small grinding disk gap. After maintenance, it is essential to use a micrometer to calibrate the concentricity error between the housing and the main shaft to 0.05mm.
When repairing colloid mills, do not directly strike the machine with a hammer during the disassembly, reassembly, and adjustment process. Use a wooden hammer or place a wooden block underneath to gently tap, to prevent damaging any parts.
3. Machine Sealing Parts: Divided into static and dynamic seals. Static seals use O-rings, while dynamic seals employ rigid mechanical combination seals. If scratches are found on the rigid sealing surface, immediate grinding and repair should be done on a flat glass or casting. A grinding compound of ≥200# silicon carbide is recommended. If the sealing parts are damaged or have severe cracks, please replace them immediately.
