Graphite plates and fuel cell systems are a type of power generation system that produce electricity through electrochemical reactions with oxygen, emitting only water. They boast three key features: zero emissions, high energy density, and both high volumetric and gravimetric power density, as well as long lifespan. For nearly two decades, fuel cell technology has been in a phase of research and development, with no region — whether North America, Europe, Japan, or South Korea — giving up on fuel cell research. In China, there has been over 9 billion yuan in investment and merger and acquisition activities.
Graphite plates (stacks) are commonly used in fuel cells, with approximately 100 plates required to form a single fuel cell. The price of each plate varies based on size, ranging from a few dozen to several hundred yuan on the current market. Currently, there are only a few domestic companies producing such graphite plates. As the industrial production of fuel cells accelerates in the future, it is expected that there will be a significant increase in the market demand for graphite plates used in fuel cells.
