Main Components of Ultrasonic Welding Machines:
The ultrasonic welding machine is primarily composed of the generator, pneumatic section, program control section, and transducer section.
The primary function of the ultrasonic welding generator is to convert the standard 50Hz power supply into high-frequency (such as 20KHz) high-voltage electrical waves using electronic circuits.
The primary function of the pneumatic section is to perform pressure-related tasks such as pressurization and pressure maintenance during the processing.
To achieve consistent processing effects, the program control section manages the entire workflow of the machine.
By transmitting and amplifying, the high-voltage radio waves generated by the generator are converted into mechanical vibrations upon reaching the processing surface.
Currently, the ultrasonic welding generators widely used domestically generally come in two types: one is represented by the American BRANSON Company, utilizing a bridge power amplifier circuit, with a phase-protected protective circuit, and an operating frequency typically at 20kHz.
Its advantages include high electrical conversion efficiency, but it has the drawback of a narrow tuning inductor adjustment range and poor frequency tracking performance. Another drawback is that the power cannot be increased significantly, with the maximum reaching around 3kW. Another option is the Taiwanese machine, which typically uses B-grade amplifiers, overcurrent protection, and bridge feedback. Its advantages are that the power can be increased (up to 4.2kW), and it has good frequency tracking performance. Ultrasonic welding machines with high power usually operate at a frequency of 15kHz. The disadvantages include low electrical conversion efficiency, and the 15kHz operating frequency can be heard by the human ear, indicating a large noise level. Additionally, machines from Switzerland, Germany, and Japan use frequency automatic tracking technology. Due to their higher price, they are rarely used by domestic enterprises and are not common.
In recent years, with advancements in domestic technology, some ultrasonic manufacturers have also applied digital frequency automatic tracking technology to their equipment, achieving breakthroughs in the technical aspect. The equipment is more stable than analog models.
