ZF-Ф510mm Tall Collapsible Reflecting Astronomical Telescope (Installed at the New Building of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Museum)

1. Observation feature: This instrument is an astronomical research and teaching equipment, capable of projecting and observing the sun during the day (to trace sunspots).

At night, you can observe celestial bodies such as lunar craters, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, stars, meteors, comets, etc. The instrument is microcomputer-controlled, equipped with a GPS global positioning system, and can automatically locate target celestial bodies using the built-in astronomical software within the microcomputer. It also allows for precise motion tracking of celestial bodies.

2. Instrument Composition: The astronomical telescope is primarily composed of three parts: the main optical tube, the equatorial mount, and the base pillar. The main optical system is made up of three optical systems: the main tube, the finder scope, and the guide scope. The three optical systems' optical axes are parallel to each other. The equatorial mount is the transmission part of the telescope, controlled by a computer single board, capable of performing precise actions such as tracking celestial bodies and automatically seeking celestial targets. The base pillar serves as the load-bearing support for the telescope and also functions in adjusting the telescope's horizontal azimuth and inclination angle.

By using the Chinese star catalog on the hand control box, simply click on a star in the catalog to automatically find its coordinates. Following this method, controlling the telescope to point towards the desired celestial object is straightforward, allowing for the observation of boundless starry skies with simple operations.

14. Automated Tracking System: A program control system designed based on the varying motion trajectories of celestial bodies, which automatically drives the main optical path system (main telescope tube) to achieve automated tracking of celestial bodies.
