Product Overview

The DZG series spiral vacuum dryer is a multi-functional vertical vacuum drying equipment integrated with drying, crushing, and mixing powder. Its drying efficiency is 3-5 times that of the same-sized "bi-conical rotary vacuum dryer." It is mainly used for powder drying in industries such as chemicals and food, and can achieve a continuous operation with the entire process sealed.This machine features a heated cone with an enclosed heating jacket, utilizing hot water, thermal oil, or low-pressure steam as the heat source to maintain a consistent temperature on the inner wall of the cone. A variable frequency speed motor, via a parallel helical bevel gear reducer, drives a single-screw agitator to rotate. This moves the material along the conical drum, lifting it from bottom to top. Upon reaching the peak, gravity and inertia cause the material to automatically flow towards the center vortex and back to the bottom of the cone drum. The entire process forcibly heats the material within the cone drum, allowing for heat to diffuse between the material and its surroundings. This results in irregular back-and-forth movement of the material, achieving high-frequency heat exchange between the material and the single-screw and drum wall surfaces, thereby achieving heating and drying in a short period. This continuous evaporation of internal moisture is then extracted by a vacuum pump, with the steam being drawn out. If liquid recovery is required, a condenser and recovery liquid storage tank can be added. After drying, the discharge valve at the bottom is opened to release the material.

 

(1) The selection of a desiccant must align with the specific requirements and characteristics of various products and processes. The main aspects include:

1The raw materials processed during production are often thermosensitive, leading to caking during the drying process. Therefore, it is necessary to minimize the drying time and enhance the drying efficiency.

2In material production, the purity of the recycled gas used in the drying process greatly affects the quality of the material. This equipment employs a unique gas supply technology to minimize the impact on the drying process. From an economic operation perspective, it is desired that all process pipelines be fixed installations to save the rotating space required by equipment like the double-conical dryer.

3To ensure the entire process is continuous and to minimize material leakage losses, the dryer's solid discharge flow rate is adjustable. This reduces the workload for manual handling and loading/unloading in the clean area, as well as prevents material overflow.


Section 2: Structure and Characteristics of DZG Series Single-cone Vacuum Screw Conveyer Dryers

1The DZG series single-cone vacuum screw conveyor dryer operates through intermittent batch processing. After wet material enters the storage bin, it is heated through the jacket around the cylinder wall and the internal spiral blades, achieving a heating area of 140% of the container's total area, thereby warming and drying the material. The corresponding cone-shaped drying and blending mixer model (working volume) is selected to achieve optimal drying results. The mixer dryer with an upper-drive structure not only offers drying and blending capabilities but also boasts ample space, making it easier for users to perform maintenance and repairs.



2Operates smoothly, protects crystal shape:

The DZG series spiral vacuum dryer operates without any auxiliary tools during the drying and mixing processes. It solely utilizes the rotation and self-rotation of the conical mixing spiral, which ensures that the material is continuously elevated by the spiral, sheared, and dispersed. This guarantees that all material in the storage bin receives full movement. Moreover, the material is not subjected to any external force compression beyond the lifting by the spiral, thus avoiding ineffective friction between the powder and the equipment, as well as between the powder particles. This ineffective friction is often the primary factor leading to the destruction of material crystal shape. This is the fundamental reason why the DZG series spiral vacuum dryer can maintain the integrity of the material crystal shape throughout the operation.


3Top-driven design eliminates the potential for contamination from shaft seals to the product.

The top-driven design of this equipment, as opposed to the bottom-driven, can avoid the following drawbacks:

The equipment containing the agitator blades must be disassembled for cleaning and maintenance.

Propeller shaft sealings are difficult to achieve true sealing without contamination, lacking quality assurance.


4Low operating energy cost and high hybrid efficiency:

The DZG series single-cone vacuum screw conveyor dryer is motor-driven, featuring a unique design. The spiral driven by the motor is used for lifting materials without any separate energy consumption for discharging. Particularly noteworthy is that during the mixing and drying process, traditional mixing and drying equipment provides a belt-type agitator. Its working principle is that when agitating, the moving material acts as a whole, with a significant amount of energy used for circular motion of the entire material, resulting in low drying efficiency. In contrast, the LZG series spiral vacuum dryer offers a conical spiral agitator, with the entire agitator rotating around the axis of the conical storage bin, ensuring that materials in different parts of the container are agitated. As the spiral agitator operates, it gradually lifts material from the bottom of the bin to the top of the container, allowing it to fall naturally, and this cycle repeats. This mixing mode ensures thorough and even mixing of materials within the container, eliminating the possibility of material agglomeration during drying, significantly enhancing the mixing and drying efficiency of materials. Moreover, it boasts advantages such as a wide range of processing capacity and low energy consumption per unit of mass.


5Simple operation, easy maintenance:

The DZG series single cone vacuum screw conveyor has a simple and effective structure, easy for operators to understand. The simple button control makes the operation process very straightforward. Some maintenance tasks can even be completed smoothly and quickly without the need for specialized personnel. The access openings allow for easy adjustment and maintenance of the moving screw, without the need for complex disassembly. The equipment has very few wear parts, with the drive units like the bearing housing set at the top of the storage bin, making it easy for users to remove the entire unit during maintenance. Moreover, there is ample space for the top drive unit.

6Equipped with a recoil mechanism:

    During the material drying process, dust raised by the drying material is adsorbed onto the vacuum collector, blocking the vacuum channel, and the obstruction of the gas channel directly leads to an extension of the drying time. The lower the temperature of the material during drying and the shorter the drying time, the less impact on the material quality. In response to the aforementioned reasons, our company has developed a single-cone dryer equipped with an anti-blowing device on the vacuum collector, which can maintain the unobstructed vacuum channel during the material drying process, thereby ensuring the drying time and quality.

7The bottom discharge valve is a slide valve, providing reliable sealing and is conducive to vacuum drying.

Primary Structure

    This unit is composed of components such as the motor, reducer, frame, mechanical seal, metal sintered mesh filter, hollow double helix stirrer, cone-shaped cylinder with jacketed heating, and discharge valve.

1Transmission and sealing parts:

Composed of an electric motor, a reducer, a frame, and mechanical seals.

1.1Motor: Utilizes a variable frequency speed control motor, allowing for speed adjustments as needed during operation.

1.2Helical Gear Reducers: SLFA series helical gear reducers, operate smoothly and reliably with low noise and long service life.

1.3Rack: Self-designed, with high manufacturing precision. Equipped with two roller bearings, it allows adjustable mixer height and radial swing.

1.4Mechanical Seal: Single-face sanitary type with material collection flushing chamber, excellent sealing performance.

2Blender

The hollow stirrer shaft is connected to the hollow helical screw by support rods, and a passageway through the medium for heat transfer is formed by the hollow support rods connecting the upper and lower ends of the hollow helical screw. To prevent material from sticking to the cylinder wall, the gap between the screw and the cylinder wall is very small.

3Vessel:

This section consists of the top cover, conical cylinder, vacuum filter, discharge valve, etc.

3.1Top cover: Supports the transmission section and agitator; internal surface pipe openings are all rounded transitions. All materials in contact with the material are 316L. Process pipe openings include: DN400 sanitary manhole, pressure gauge, explosion-proof sight lamp, sight glass opening, feed opening, cleaning opening, vacuum opening, etc.

3.2Bottom cone with heating jacket: The inner surface is smooth with no dead corners, ensuring thorough drying of materials. The rotation of the mixer aids in quick and clean discharge.

3.3Filter: Utilizes metal sintered mesh for high filtration precision and large filtration area. Additionally, an exhaust port is set at the vacuum outlet, where the filter is back-flushed with compressed air during exhaust for regeneration.

3.4Discharge Valve: Utilizes a sliding gate valve, offering rapid discharge, ease of operation, and ensures no residue or dead corners.
