Shell and tube condenser

Shell-and-tube condensers are heat exchange devices consisting of a shell, tube plate, tube bundle, baffles, and casing. A condenser formed by a group of tube bundles or coils installed within a single shell. There are two mediums for heat transfer, one inside the tubes and the other outside the shell, with heat transfer occurring through the tube walls, typically in a horizontal orientation. The capacity of the new condenser to condense the medium, calculated by the heat exchange area, is as follows: Heat exchange area (m²) = 3.1416 × inner tube diameter × tube length × total number of tubes. The size of the new condenser should be selected based on the amount of medium that needs to be condensed per unit of time.
