The glass used in glass curtain walls should be safety glass, mainly including tempered glass, laminated (safety) glass, insulating glass, fire-resistant glass, solar control coated glass, and low-emissivity (Low-E) coated glass. Specific selection requirements are as follows: 1. The curtain wall should use safety glass with a thickness not less than 6mm. The thickness of the glass in the glass curtain wall ribs should not be less than 12mm.
2. When using heat-reflective coated glass for glass curtain walls, vacuum magnetic controlled cathode sputtering coated glass or online thermal spraying coated glass should be employed. The appearance quality and technical specifications of the float glass used for heat-reflective coated glass should comply with the superior or first-class specifications in the current standard "Float Glass" (GB11614).
3. The hollow glass for curtain walls should use double-sealing.
Insulated glass in clear-framed curtain walls should use polysulfide and butyl sealants; for hidden and semi-hidden framed curtain walls, silicon structural sealant and butyl sealants should be used. The coated surface should be on the second or third surface of the insulated glass.
4. The interlayer glass of the curtain wall should be made by dry processing with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film. The thickness of the interlayer film (PVB) for point-supported glass curtain wall interlayer glass should not be less than 0.76mm.
5. Tempered glass should comply with the regulations of GB9963 "Tempered Glass."
6. All curtain wall glass should be edge treated.
