2. Usage Differences. Seamless steel pipes are primarily used as pipelines or structural components for conveying fluids, predominantly in the mechanical industry. Welded steel pipes are mainly employed in the construction industry for the transportation of fluids and gases, such as water, gas, and compressed air, among other low-pressure fluids. Seamless steel pipes are generally used for pressure pipelines.
