(1) Single and double girder
Generally, for spans under 50 tons and widths under 35 meters, without special operational requirements, a single girder crane is recommended. However, for wider girder widths, higher working speeds, or frequent lifting of heavy and long loads, a double girder overhead crane is more suitable.
(2) Span
The span of the gantry crane is a significant factor affecting the crane's own quality. When selecting, it is advisable to minimize the span as much as possible, while ensuring the equipment meets usage conditions and complies with the span series standards.
(3) Wheelbase confirmed
(a) Meets stability requirements along the crane track direction of the gantry
(b) The dimensions of the goods must be able to pass through the leg plane steel frame smoothly
(c) Note that the wheelbase B should be in a certain proportion to the span S, typically with B = (1/4 - 1/6)S.
Spacing dimensions
In operation, the external dimensions of the gantry crane should leave sufficient space between the storage yard's goods and the transport vehicle lanes to facilitate loading and unloading. Generally, when transport vehicles are loading or unloading within the span, they should maintain a distance of more than 0.7 meters from the crane legs. The lifting equipment should be at least 0.5 meters away from the transport vehicle when not in use, and there should be a distance of more than 0.5 meters when the goods pass over the crane legs.
Electrical Equipment
It should comply with the relevant provisions of the General Gate Crane GB/T14406-1993.
