Features of the superheater exhaust muffler:

The effective anti-noise exhaust silencers in the heat-resistant spray-resistant series are widely used in power generation, chemical, metallurgical, textile, and other industrial plants for various types of boilers, steam turbines, exhaust fans, safety valves, and other equipment to reduce noise.

The exhaust silencer for superheater is a device that prevents sound from spreading while allowing air flow, and it is an important measure for eliminating the dynamic noise of steam discharge. The quality of the exhaust silencer is mainly evaluated based on the following three aspects:

1. The exhaust silencer of the superheater meets the requirements of the "Noise Hygiene Standard for Industrial Enterprises" in terms of noise reduction.

2. The adaptability of the exhaust muffler for superheaters (i.e., to low-mid frequency spectrum, wideband, and high temperature and pressure conditions).

3. The structural performance of the overheater exhaust muffler (including reasonable dimensions, low cost, long service life, etc.)

The steam from the boilers in the power generation department is not only high temperature and high pressure but also has a wide frequency range. Simply relying on small-hole sound absorption is insufficient. Our factory's boiler exhaust silencer is developed based on the composite noise reduction principle of resistance, injection, and impedance, featuring large noise reduction capacity, wide frequency adaptability, and targeted design (for various boilers and pressure vessel pipelines with parameters such as low, medium, sub-high, high, ultra-high, subcritical, and supercritical pressures). The silencer tube is made of stainless steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti, 12Cr1MoV) and is easy to manufacture and install.

Principle of the exhaust silencer for overheater:

The exhaust muffler for overheated boiler is manufactured based on the micro-perforated plate noise reduction principle. Since the steam排放 from power plant boilers generally has high flow rates, and high flow rates have the greatest impact on noise reduction for small holes, we first control the flow. After one stage of flow control, the steam enters the expansion chamber for further pressure reduction and noise reduction. After the steam undergoes large-volume pressure reduction, it forms low-pressure steam that is ejected. During this process, the airflow is ejected through small-diameter holes, reducing the sound power of each harmonic band after ejection. The sound pressure level frequency is pushed above 20,000Hz, significantly reducing the noise. However, secondary noise at certain frequencies still requires additional noise reduction. We install a resistive absorbent cotton structure outside the expansion chamber, which is designed based on the frequency spectrum characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the pressure-reducing body, to effectively absorb the remaining noise. After the user installs it according to specifications, the total noise reduction should reach 30-45 decibels, meeting the requirements of the "Noise Standard for Industrial Enterprises."

Type of superheater exhaust muffler:

Micro-hole type, suitable for high temperature and high pressure

TA Type Exhaust Muffler, where TA refers to the perforated muffler (perforated type), suitable for high temperature and high pressure applications. It does not use sound-absorbing cotton filling; the muffler is entirely composed of perforations. Gases enter from the bottom inlet and exit from all sides.

Model TA-3.82-10/57: TA signifies a small hole exhaust muffler, 3.82 denotes a pressure of 3.82 Mpa, 57 indicates an interface outer diameter of 57mm, and 10 represents an exhaust volume of 10T/H.

  

TA Type Exhaust Muffler, where TA indicates a sound-deadening muffler with a sound-insulating hood (compound type). It contains sound-absorbing cotton filler, with gas entering from the bottom inlet and exiting from the top. Due to the presence of the sound-absorbing cotton filler, it is suitable for pressures up to 6.4 Mpa; otherwise, the filler may be blown out. The shell is made of carbon steel and is suitable for temperatures up to 300 degrees.

TA-1.6-10000/57 Model Meaning: TA signifies a composite exhaust muffler, 57 denotes the outer diameter of the interface is 57mm, and 1000 indicates the exhaust volume is 1000M3/H.

  

Installation Instructions:

1. The muffler should be installed perpendicular to the factory roof, and the muffler bracket should be securely fastened to the factory using structural steel brackets.

2. To enhance the wind resistance of the factory building's ceiling height, the silencer body is equipped with a support-mounted bracket. Consequently, the exhaust pipe in front of the silencer should have a section of expansion bend to absorb thermal expansion. If a drain pan is already installed vertically in the original exhaust pipe section, the expansion bend can be omitted.

3. The bottom of all muffler bodies is designed with a drainage pipe or drainage holes. The openings should be checked for unobstructed flow.

4. A rain shield made of thin steel plate should be installed over the opening where the exhaust pipe passes through the roof platform of the factory building.

5. For safety doors, it is generally the case that one safety door is paired with one silencer. Safety doors come in single and double seat designs. For the double seat models, the exhaust pipes can be merged into a single main pipe during installation and connected to the silencer. However, for safety doors with a higher exhaust volume, two silencers can also be installed.

6. The silencers for small flow applications such as oxygen degasser, steam jet vacuum pump exhaust, are designed in a tubular shape for easy installation. The installation method is shown in Figure 4, where the silencer is vertically mounted along the main workshop wall and columns. Steel sliding brackets are set up on the wall and columns, upon which the silencer and pipeline are mounted. The exhaust outlet of the silencer should face the roof. Note that the silencer is factory-fitted with a fixed bracket, which can be omitted when using the sliding bracket installation method.
