The fully automatic dosing unit is a practical new equipment designed to optimize the operation of circulating water systems, playing a crucial role in industrial water treatment systems. It accurately adds chemical agents to the water treatment system to control water quality parameters, prevent corrosion and scaling, and improve the quality of the produced water. When selecting a dosing unit, what aspects should be considered? The manufacturer of fully automatic dosing units has compiled the following suggestions for your reference:
The equipment must achieve excellent performance under operational conditions, while also being able to operate normally under certain non-standard conditions.
2. Unit equipment should be mounted on an integrated frame. Devices mounted on the frame include solution tanks, metering pumps, platform ladders, ground control equipment, as well as all pipelines, fittings, cable conduits or bridges, cables, valves, and other accessories.
The discharge of the metering pump should be equipped with a pressure gauge, and the inlet of the pressure gauge should have a shut-off valve and a pulsation damper. The range of the pressure gauge should be higher than 25% of the pump's maximum discharge pressure.
Each metering pump should be equipped with a safety relief valve and a pipeline returning to the solution tank. A liquid flow indicator should be installed on the return line. A stainless steel pipeline filter should be installed on the inlet pipeline of each metering pump.
5. The flow adjustment range of the manual metering pump is all set to 0-98%.
6. Suppliers must provide the smaller continuous flow rate that does not damage the pump and the larger allowable flow rate of the pump.
Pump design and layout must facilitate testing of all components, replacement of parts, maintenance, and lubrication. Additionally, provide for leak, discharge, and outlet piping connections.
The entry of the metering pump should provide a calibration column interface with an isolation valve. The volume of the calibration column should not be less than the test quantity for one minute, with the entire set equipped with two calibration columns.
All metering pumps are selected with technologically advanced diaphragm metering pumps. The pressure relief valve and pulse damper at the outlet should be supplied by the metering pump manufacturer and safe and suitable products should be chosen.
Ensure that the overflow components of the metering pump are made of suitable material; use stainless steel instead of plastic.
The solution tank must include at least the following interfaces: discharge outlet, drain outlet, liquid level sensor interface, dosing port, and dilution water interface. The solution tank should be equipped with a relief valve return outlet. The drain outlet and discharge outlet must be separated. The drain outlet is located at the bottom of the tank and can completely empty the solution.
Unit solution tanks for the stabilizer unit are made of carbon steel lined with rubber. Valves are equipped with rubber-lined diaphragm valves. Pipes are made of stainless steel.
13. The ferric sulfate dip coating unit solution tank is made of stainless steel. Valves are also made of stainless steel. Pipes are constructed from stainless steel. The dosing pump is a centrifugal pump with either lined plastic or stainless steel.
14. Welding of unit structures and components must comply with the relevant standards specified in this specification document. The solution tank should be equipped with automatic welding.
