IV.Principle
Boiler exhaust silencers are manufactured based on the micro-perforated plate noise reduction principle. Power plant boiler steam emissions typically have high velocities, and high velocities have a significant impact on the noise reduction of small holes. Therefore, we first need to control the flow. After the steam passes through the initial flow control, it then enters the expansion chamber for further pressure reduction and noise reduction. After the steam undergoes large-volume pressure reduction, it forms low-pressure steam that is ejected. During this process, the airflow is ejected through small hole diameters. After ejection, the sound power across all frequency bands has been reduced, and the sound pressure level frequencies are pushed above 20,000 Hz, greatly diminishing the noise. However, secondary noise at certain frequencies still requires further noise reduction. We add a resistive sound-absorbing cotton structure outside the expansion chamber, which is designed based on the frequency spectrum characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the pressure-reducing body to effectively absorb the remaining noise. After the user installs it as required, the total noise reduction should reach 30-60 decibels, meeting the specified requirements.
