Boiler exhaust silencers are manufactured based on the micro-perforated plate noise reduction principle. The steam emissions from power plant boilers typically have high velocities, and high velocities significantly affect noise reduction in small holes. Therefore, we need to control the flow first, then the steam that has been controlled enters the expansion chamber for further pressure reduction and noise reduction. After the steam is subjected to large-volume pressure reduction, it forms low-pressure steam emissions. During this process, the airflow is ejected through small diameter holes. After ejection, the sound power in each octave band is reduced, and the sound pressure level frequency is pushed to above 20,000Hz, significantly reducing the noise. However, secondary noise at certain frequencies still requires additional noise reduction. We install a resistive acoustic cotton structure outside the expansion chamber, which is designed based on the spectrum characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the pressure reduction body to effectively absorb the remaining noise.
