Boiler exhaust mufflers are manufactured based on the micro-perforated plate noise reduction principle. The steam emissions from power plant boilers typically have high flow rates, which significantly affect the noise reduction of small apertures. Therefore, we first control the flow, and then the steam enters the expansion chamber after the initial flow control, where it further decreases pressure and reduces noise. After the steam undergoes a large-volume pressure drop, it forms low-pressure steam that is ejected. During this process, the airflow is ejected through small diameter apertures. After ejection, the sound power across various frequency bands is reduced, and the sound pressure level frequency is pushed up to above 20,000Hz, greatly diminishing the noise. However, secondary noise at certain frequencies still requires additional noise reduction. We add a resistive acoustic cotton structure outside the expansion chamber, which is designed based on the frequency spectrum characteristics of the remaining noise emitted by the pressure-reducing body, to effectively absorb the residual noise. After the user installs it according to specifications, the total noise reduction should reach 30-60 decibels, meeting the required standards.
