One.Preface
The deaerator is a special type of low-pressure thermal deaerator.
In the boiler feed water treatment process, deoxygenation is a critical step. Oxygen is a primary corrosive substance in both the feed water system and the boiler. Oxygen in the feed water must be removed promptly, otherwise, it will corrode the boiler's feed water system and components. The corrosion will produce ferric oxide, which enters the boiler, settling or adhering to the boiler tube walls and heating surfaces, forming difficult-to-dissolve iron scale that leads to poor heat transfer. Moreover, corrosion can cause pitting on the inner walls of the pipes, increasing the resistance coefficient. Severe pipe corrosion can even lead to pipe accidents. Two.Deoxygenator working principle
The oxygen scavenger generally includes two operational processes.:
1.One-time Deaeration: Water not deaerated enters the deaeration pipeline through the inlet, is sprayed out in a mist form, and falls through the liquid-vapor mesh. It is then thoroughly mixed with steam entering through the steam inlet, reaching the deaeration temperature. Most of the oxygen in the water is released and expelled through the exhaust port, completing the one-time deaeration process.
2.Deaeration: The purpose of secondary deaeration is to maintain the tank's temperature consistently at the deaeration level to maximize deaeration effectiveness. This is achieved by heating the already deaerated water through the auxiliary heating port at the bottom, causing any unextracted oxygen to fully precipitate out, significantly reducing the oxygen content in the water. At this point, the secondary deaeration is complete.
