1. Definition
The gas storage tank is used for buffering air and has a cooling effect (the exhaust temperature of an air compressor is around 70-80℃). Its most important function is to initially remove water and oil. The tank can remove up to 70% of oil and water, making the storage tank an indispensable equipment for air compressors.
Section II: Function
1. Air Storage: There is no storage for compressed air within an air compressor. Once the compressed air reaches the preset pressure, it is exhausted. By using an air receiver, finished compressed air can be stored, ensuring more stable air usage.
2. Pressure Stability: During the operation of an air compressor, the air pressure is unstable and fluctuates greatly. An air storage tank can be used to control the air pressure within an appropriate range, andEliminateFlow fluctuations in the pipeline. Through the air storage tank, the compressed air output from the air compressor will have a buffer zone, which is of good quality and can maintain the set value. The gas system can achieve relatively stable pressure.
3. Cooling Filtration: The temperature of the finished compressed air entering the gas storage tank will be reduced to achieve the effect of preliminary cooling of the compressed air. At the same time, it can deposit some water and oil in the compressed air, enhancing the quality of the finished compressed air.
Section 3: Installation
1. Full-welding Method: The full-welding method involves first welding the base of the tank to the foundation, then assembling and welding the annular plates of the tank wall to the base. Next, the bottom plate is welded, followed by mechanically assembling and welding each piece of the second wall panel to the annular plate. The longitudinal seam of the second wall panel is then welded, as well as the circumferential seam between the second wall panel and the annular plate. This process is repeated sequentially until the assembly and welding of the next wall panel are complete. Large floating roof tanks typically use the full-welding method for construction, with automatic welding generally employed for both wall and bottom plate welding.
2. Inverted Method: The construction sequence of the inverted method is the opposite of the conventional method. The sequence is as follows: lay the tank bottom plate → install the annular wall panels on the laid bottom plate → manufacture and install the tank roof → lift the entire assembly → install the next annular wall panel → lift the entire assembly again → continue this process from the top down until the next annular wall panel is installed.
