Common Issues and Solutions for Extruder: Screw Heating Phenomenon
1. The cutter has suffered severe wear. The gap between the cutter and the inner wall of the mud cylinder is too large, or the spiral angle of the cutter blades is incorrect. It is important to maintain a gap of 3-5mm when replacing the cutter and to manufacture the cutter blades at the designed angle.
2. The surface of the auger blades is too rough, resulting in excessive friction between the clay and the blades. Therefore, when welding the auger, do not weld in groups; replace all at once. Instead, proceed gradually, replacing them in batches, to ensure smooth brick production.
3. The mud cylinder wall liner is severely worn. The gap between the auger blades and the mud cylinder wall is too large, causing excessive rotational movement of the mud inside the cylinder, preventing it from exiting or entering. At this point, it is advisable to replace the new mud cylinder liner, or install several parallel or inclined ribs inside the liner wall to replace the worn-out grooves, preventing the mud from rotating unnecessarily and increasing its effective extrusion.
4. The gap between the mud knife plate and the auger is too large, preventing the mud from being pressed down. In this case, the plate should be adjusted, repaired, or replaced to ensure the gap between the plate and the auger blades is less than 10mm.
