What's the Difference Between Bondi Fittings and Copper Tubes?


You're probably familiar with copper tubing, which is widely used in various applications. Have you heard of Bundt tubing? It's quite similar to copper tubing, and sometimes Bundt tubing is used as a substitute for copper tubing. Today, I'll compare Bundt tubing and copper tubing for you.

Bondi Tube Features:

The company conducted tensile tests using a tensile testing machine. The focus was on the design of the bonding tube clamping fixture. Since bonding tubes are hollow, standard clamps cannot secure them. Specialized clamps are required. The inner core is made according to the inner hole, with an external elastic thread clamping mechanism. The clamps are integrated with the tensile machine for production. Due to its unique double-layer structure and special manufacturing process, it boasts some characteristics unmatched by other tube materials: high-precision cold-rolled high-quality low-carbon steel strips and exquisite precision rolling techniques ensure the precision of the outer diameter and wall thickness, as well as good concentricity; the 360° welding along the tube wall ensures that bonding tubes do not leak; it also gives the tubes high burst strength and high resistance to vibration fatigue. During the manufacturing process, bonding tubes use low-carbon oil with a low carbon content, resulting in an extremely clean inner surface with residues less than 0.05g/m². The use of high-quality low-carbon steel makes bonding tubes easy to bend, weld, and process into various shapes.

Copper Tube Characteristics:

Lightweight, excellent thermal conductivity, and high strength at low temperatures. Often used in the manufacturing of heat exchange equipment (such as condensers) and copper tubes for oxygen equipment assembly. Small-diameter copper tubes are commonly used for transporting pressurized liquids (such as lubrication systems, hydraulic systems, etc.) and as pressure gauges for instruments. Copper tubes offer robustness and corrosion resistance, making them the preferred choice for modern contractors to install water supply, heating, and cooling pipelines in all residential commercial properties. Copper tubes combine numerous advantages: they are strong, with high strength similar to that of other metals; yet they are also more bendable, twistable, less prone to cracking or breaking, and possess certain frost expansion and impact resistance. Therefore, once installed in a building's water supply system, copper pipes are safe and reliable for use, requiring little to no maintenance or care.

Bondi pipes and copper pipes are often very similar, with cases of shoddy substitutes. Only after understanding the differences between Bondi pipes and copper pipes can one make a clear distinction between the two.
