HUG-13 Concrete Surface (Penetrating) Waterproofing Agent
HUG-13 Concrete Surface (Penetrating) Waterproofing Agent (Widely used in many domestic highway bridges, municipal elevated bridges, residential buildings (basements), and other industries, including users such as the Wuhan-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Zhuji Expressway, Shanghai Metro, Guangzhou North Ring, Shanghai Yangpu Bridge, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Suzhou-Jiaxing Expressway, and Hangzhou Municipal Elevated Bridge, among many large-scale projects. This product is a penetrating crystalline (able to penetrate more than 4cm into cement concrete and react with alkaline substances in cement concrete to form cement components and seal the capillary channels and micro-cracks in cement concrete), and also has the properties of anti-weathering and corrosion resistance. It is particularly suitable for waterproofing in building interiors and basements. The product is very easy to apply, cost-effective, and produces significant results, making it a new type of waterproofing material with excellent cost-performance. The application of DPS Permanizing Liquid is consistent with this product.
Construction Technical Requirements:
(1) Ground-level cleaning
Before applying the bridge deck waterproofing paint, first chisel off the concrete laitance, level out uneven areas, remove oil stains, debris, etc., then thoroughly clean the base surface, and finally blow it clean with a blower.
(2) Apply waterproofing agent to the base surface. Once the agent has penetrated the base and there is no visible dampness on the surface, apply a second coat of waterproofing agent.
(3) After the second coat of waterproofing agent is applied, a designated person should monitor the evaporation of the coating. Approximately 2-3 hours later, when the waterproofing agent coating is about to dry, immediately spray with a sprayer to moisten the surface. Do not overdo it to prevent the loss of the waterproofing agent.
Application and Consumption: Apply twice, approximately 0.2-0.6 kg/m².
Waterproof and anti-permeation agent penetration hardening mechanism:
Once the waterproofing agent penetrates the concrete pores, it first reacts with the dissolved Ca(OH)2 and Mg(OH)2 in the concrete, forming a white colloidal substance, hydrated calcium silicate, and hydrated magnesium silicate. This reaction is easy and occurs rapidly, whether in dilute or concentrated solutions, effectively blocking the internal pores of the concrete. It seals the capillary channels, increases compactness, and forms a reliable, durable waterproof layer. In the later stages of construction, colloidal substances that have penetrated the concrete pores but not reacted with Ca(OH)2 and Mg(OH)2 will, under the action of latent hardeners, form silicate gels.
Bridge deck waterproofing installation:
I. Technical Requirements for the Application of Waterproof and Impermeable Agent on Bridge Deck Concrete Coating
(1) Rinse the surface dust at the construction site with tap water or clean water, and then spray an adequate amount of water to ensure the base concrete is fully moistened.
(2) After the base material is cleaned and moistened, apply the water-resistant agent to the surface when there is no floating water. Once the water-resistant agent has penetrated into the base material and the surface shows no sign of moisture, apply the second coat of water-resistant agent.
After the second coat of waterproofing agent is applied, a designated person should monitor the evaporation of the coating. Approximately 2-3 hours later, when the waterproofing agent coating is about to dry (reaching a one-sided dry saturation state), immediately spray clean water using a sprayer to moisten the surface, but not excessively to prevent the loss of the waterproofing agent. Continue this watering and maintenance for 24 hours to complete this process.
