Different types of paddles are used for various purposes due to variations in mixing objectives, drum/tank shapes, rotational speed, viscosity, etc. The design and selection of the impeller type are based on various specifications, considering factors such as the ratio of the impeller to the inner diameter of the mixing tank, the circumferential speed at the impeller top, viscosity changes during the mixing process, and flow range.

Sump mixers require different types of impellers for various mixing purposes, tank shapes, rotational speeds, and viscosities. Impeller design and selection are based on specific standards, considering factors such as the ratio of impeller diameter to the mixing tank's inner diameter, the circumferential speed at the impeller's top, viscosity changes during mixing, and flow rate range. There are many types of paddle mixers, categorized by the flow pattern of the fluid in the tank as axial or radial. The main factors affecting mixing efficiency are as follows; and common types are provided for reference:
1. The shape, diameter, sweep angle, and tilt angle of the impeller in the slurry mixer.
2. The number of layers and installation height of the agitator impeller for slurry mixers.
3. Pump mixer impeller speed.
4. Shape of the mixing tank, total capacity, number of baffles, and external dimensions.
Batch operations or continuous operations.
The paddle mixer comes with either double-sided flat blades in two layers or a single layer of three-blade propellers, surface pickled for corrosion resistance.
