Pre-start Inspection
Clear away diesel generators and surrounding debris.
Check the engine oil level in the oil pan, ensuring the oil is between the upper and lower marks on the oil gauge.
Check the cooling water and top it up if it's insufficient.
4. Fill up the fuel.
Step 2: Start-up. The pre-startup preparations must be completed and confirmed as compliant before the diesel engine can be started.
Turn the circuit key switch clockwise and press the start button.
2. Start-up time should not exceed 10 seconds to protect the starter motor and battery. If a continuous start is required, a 2-minute rest is necessary before restarting. If the engine fails to start three times consecutively, the cause should be identified and the fault resolved before attempting to start again.
After starting the diesel engine, turn the circuit key switch counterclockwise to the charging position.
After starting, check the oil pressure immediately; the oil pressure at idle should not be lower than 0.1 Mpa.
5. Once the diesel engine operates smoothly, gradually increase the fuel supply to reach the rated voltage of 380V, then lock the throttle regulator to prevent vibrations during equipment operation, which could cause unstable fuel supply and voltage fluctuations.
Once the voltage reaches the working voltage, close the generator set's air switch.
Section 3: Equipment Operation Status Inspection
During operation, pay close attention to check the oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant water temperature, charging current gauge readings, and generator voltage. Also, observe the color of the exhaust smoke and listen for internal sounds. If overheating, black smoke, knocking sounds, or other abnormal phenomena are detected, stop the engine immediately for inspection and elimination. It is not permitted to operate the diesel engine with faults to prevent damage to components.
Ensure to regularly monitor the operation of the oil and water pathways during diesel engine operation. In case of any leaks, they should be addressed promptly.
In the event of a runaway diesel engine, shut down the engine immediately. If the shutdown fails, you can stop the diesel engine by blocking the intake port.
A Range of Temperature and Pressure Regulations:
Oil temperature ≤ 95℃, coolant outlet temperature ≤ 90℃
Oil pressure: 0.3-0.5 Mpa; at idle ≥ 0.1 Mpa
Four: Shutdown
Before shutting down, the load should be removed and the engine gradually brought to idle speed. Once the water temperature drops below 70°C, place the switch key in the shutdown position and close the air door until the diesel engine stops running.
Lower the air circuit breaker of the generator set.
