Diesel generator sets are a type of small-scale power generation equipment, which refers to power machinery that uses diesel fuel or the like as fuel, driven by a diesel engine to generate electricity. The complete set typically consists of a diesel engine, generator, control box, fuel tank, starting and control batteries, protective devices, and emergency cabinets. The entire unit can be mounted on a foundation for fixed positioning use, or mounted on a trailer for mobile use. Diesel generator sets are non-continuous operation power generation equipment; if they run continuously for more than 12 hours, their output power will drop to about 90% of the rated power. Despite their lower power output, due to their compact size, flexibility, lightness, comprehensive accessories, ease of operation and maintenance, they are widely used in mining, railways, field construction sites, road traffic maintenance, and in factories, enterprises, hospitals, and other departments as backup or temporary power sources.
