In September 2015, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission announced the results of the Capital Science and Technology Platform Scientific Instrument Development and Cultivation Project. The project "Development of High-Precision Non-Contact Measurement Solid-State Laser Feedback Interferometer for Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing" jointly applied for by Beijing Laytest Technology Co., Ltd. and Tsinghua University, was successfully approved for funding.
This project aims to research a new type of "Solid-state Laser Feedback Interferometer," which is designed for non-contact, nanometer-precision measurement of multi-dimensional deformation in critical components of aerospace space cameras, thereby enhancing the imaging resolution of space cameras. It can also be used for deformation measurement and real-time positioning of cutting tools on engraving machines in advanced manufacturing to improve the accuracy of precision/super-precision machining (down to sub-micron and nanometer levels). The successful implementation of this project holds significant importance for enhancing China's scientific research level and core competitiveness in the fields of aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
