What is the definition of machine tool accuracy?
There are numerous reasons for the poor accuracy of machine tools. Firstly, the gap between the numerical control guide rail and the screw thread is inconsistent. The repetitive positioning in numerical control is achieved by the equipment itself, whereas in a regular lathe, it is manually controlled, and the repetitive positioning is ensured by gauges and human operation. During this process, some errors are inevitable. We all know that errors are unavoidable, which determines that the accuracy of machine tools has a certain range. Within a reasonable and compliant range, errors are acceptable. However, excessive errors indicate that the machine tool is not accurate enough.
Firstly, it's important to understand that there are differences in the machining accuracy of machine tools, which includes static and dynamic accuracy. The static accuracy testing of machine tools under non-working conditions mainly involves two aspects: the geometric accuracy of the machine tool and the positioning accuracy of the machine tool. The dynamic accuracy primarily includes the errors caused by tools, workpieces, and vibrations during the machining process.
Machine tool accuracy refers to the level of precision achieved in the dimensions, shapes, and positions of the machined parts. Static accuracy of machine tools, on the other hand, pertains to the detection precision of the machine's geometry, motion, transmission, and positioning under no load conditions. Clearly, the latter's accuracy significantly impacts the machining precision of the machine tools. However, this type of accuracy is also difficult to control. It is not only related to the machine tool equipment itself but also to factors such as working voltage, the operator's technical proficiency, the complexity of the product being machined, and the rationality of operational standards.
