Carbon Tape

Carbon fiber tape refers to a tape made of carbon fibers, commonly abbreviated as carbon tape. It is used for wrapping composite materials, enhancing composite materials via extrusion and stretching methods, heating elements, conductive materials, and semiconductor materials, among others.

Variety of specifications and types, with differing performance. Excellent thermal resistance, semiconductor properties, conductivity, and chemical resistance. The mechanical properties are related to the carbon fiber used and the weaving method.

The manufacturing process primarily uses plain weave, but due to the high static electricity during weaving, it can be pre-treated with water or anti-static agents. Advanced composite materials use carbon fiber tapes, mainly unidirectional carbon fiber tapes and prepregs. The method involves unidirectional arrangement of carbon fibers, followed by resin spraying. Some also use various unidirectional carbon fiber fabrics cut into narrow strips, or plain weave carbon fiber tapes that are then coated and compounded. The carbon fiber packing for sealing materials is a carbon fiber rope, which is also a type of tape. Carbon fiber sleeves are another type of tape.
