Carbon fiber tape refers to a ribbon made of carbon fiber, abbreviated as carbon tape. It is used for wrapping composite materials, enhancing composites through extrusion and stretching, heating elements, conductive materials, and semiconductor materials, etc.

Advanced composite materials use carbon fiber strips, mainly unidirectional carbon fiber tapes and prepregs, with the method being the unidirectional arrangement of carbon fibers, coated with resin. Some also use various unidirectional carbon fiber fabrics cut into narrow strips or plain weave carbon fiber strips that are then coated and compounded. The carbon fiber packing for sealing materials is made of carbon fiber rope, which is also a type of tape. Carbon fiber sleeves are another type of tape.
