Cash Register Rolls, as the name implies, are the paper rolls used in cash registers to record sales details. They are primarily used to provide customers with a shopping itemized list and can be replaced after use.

The general material for cash register paper is suitable for the printing components inside cash registers. For standard dot matrix printers, ordinary 1-3-layer printing paper can be used for printing; for thermal head printers, only thermal printing paper is suitable. Standard dot matrix printers require ribbon and cash register paper as printing consumables. Thermal head printers can print only with thermal printing paper, without any additional consumables.

Cash register paper and carbonless paper are produced using double-sided coated paper, with the quality of the cash register paper entirely dependent on the quality of the double-sided coated paper used. To achieve better performance, first consider the material; papers with a clean, white surface free of impurities are typically made of wood pulp, resulting in cash register paper with good tensile strength and a neat appearance. Papers made with mixed pulp or straw pulp often have spots, indicating lower tensile strength and a tendency to break during printing. Additionally, the smoothness of the cash register paper is crucial; smoother paper reduces print head wear and delivers better print quality.
