On the surface, the structure of PVC self-adhesive printing materials consists of the surface material, adhesive, and backing paper. However, personnel involved in the process mention that to ensure quality, it also includes back printing and silicon coating.

The surface coating of PVC self-adhesive printing is actually a protective layer, designed to enhance ink reception and printing ease, while preventing dirt, increasing ink adhesion, and stopping the print graphics from peeling off. The silicone coating involves applying a silicone oil layer on the base paper, which makes the surface very smooth and low in surface tension, thereby preventing the adhesive from sticking to the base paper.

The backing paper for PVC self-adhesive printing is used to protect the adhesive on the reverse side of the face material, support the face material, and enable it to undergo die-cutting, waste trimming, and labeling on the labeling machine. As for the reverse printing, it serves to print the manufacturer's registered trademark or design on the back of the backing paper, serving both promotional and anti-counterfeiting purposes.

The face material is the one that accepts printed graphics on the front and adhesive on the back, ultimately applied to the material to be bonded. The purpose of applying the primer is to protect the face material, prevent adhesive penetration, enhance the opacity of the fabric, increase the bonding strength between the adhesive and the face material, and prevent plasticizers in the plastic face material from渗入adhesive, affecting its adhesive properties and reducing the bonding strength of the label, leading to label detachment.
