It is a square-shaped tube, and many materials can be shaped into square tubes. The usage, application, and medium vary. Most square tubes are made of steel pipes, which are unpacked, flattened, curled, and welded into round tubes before being rolled into square tubes and then cut to the desired length. Typically, there are 50 tubes per package, with larger sizes being more common in stock, ranging from 10*10*0.8-1.5 to 500*500*10-25. Square tubes are categorized by their use, such as structural square tubes, decorative square tubes, construction square tubes, and mechanical square tubes, etc.
Square tube, a type of steel tube with equal sides, is formed by rolling steel strip through a process.
Cut-to-Length Round Tube: Typically involves unpacking steel coil, leveling, coiling, welding into round tubes, then rolling these into rectangular tubes and cutting to the required length.
Process Classification
Square tubes are categorized by production process: hot-rolled seamless square tubes, cold drawn seamless square tubes, extruded seamless square tubes, and welded square tubes.
Among them, the welded square tubes are further divided into:
(a) By process – Arc Welded Square Tube, Resistance Welded Square Tube (High Frequency, Low Frequency), Gas Welded Square Tube, Furnace Welded Square Tube
(b) By weld type - Straight seam square tube, Spiral seam square tube
